What's The Role?

As a member of the Strategic Partnerships team, you will draft and negotiate complex licensing, outsourcing, partnership and joint venture agreements that are of strategic importance to Bloomberg. These agreements are often times part of a broader relationship, or may be in connection with the commercial aspects of an acquisition. You will also be responsible for drafting and negotiating various customer agreements.

You will also collaborate with other groups within Bloomberg and advise business leaders on all legal matters, drawing on expertise from within our legal department and external partners to provide advice on regulatory, intellectual property, litigation, contractual and other legal matters.

You Should Have:

  • Membership in the New York Bar and in good standing with eligibility to practice in New York as In-house Counsel
  • At least 4-6 years of relevant experience practicing law, preferably in the corporate department of a top law firm and/or in-house at a corporation
  • Strong communication, presentation, project management, and negotiation skills
  • The ability to thrive in an open office environment
  • Demonstrated ability to flourish in a diverse team environment

We'd Love To See:

  • Familiarity with data and software licensing
  • Experience in the financial or technology sector
