Our Team

Our Global Information Systems Group (Infosys) is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting Bloomberg’s the internal IT systems, including our global corporate network, and the hardware and software to support nearly 19,000 employees in more than 170 offices around the world. We are also responsible for the audio-visual technology in all of Bloomberg’s public spaces (including training and conference rooms), that host more than 500,000 visitors to Bloomberg offices each year.

Our employees rely on the technology solutions and support Infosys provides to do their jobs in a fast-paced, highly-demanding, technology-focused environment. We are a close-knit, hardworking team organized into 6 groups: Service Desk, Desktop Technicians, Infrastructure, Audio-Visual, Corporate Security, and Mobile Technology. Each of these groups develop, deploy and rely upon a complex set of proprietary and third-party systems to deliver the services we provide; and those systems are the key to understanding where we are doing our jobs well, and where we need to improve.

For example, our 19,000 employees generate more than 320,000 service requests each year through a ticketing system that drives both human and automated services—from software download to a Desktop dispatch. We handle approximately 400+ software titles, as well as, monitor and implement security for the entire corporate network that consists of 28,000 PCs, 50,000 screen displays and 120,000 network connections.

What’s the role?

In an environment this complex, data analytics and business intelligence are essential to understanding how we’re performing, and where the best opportunities exist to improve service and increase efficiency. We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our executive team to expand on the foundation we’ve developed, leveraging the wealth of systems data embedded across our organization to drive innovation and transformational change. As an integral member of the team, you will go beyond the collection and synthesis of data, you’ll help us to figure out where potential opportunities exist; the information required to effectively analyze our processes; and how to leverage findings to improve our operations and strengthen our business strategy. You will also accomplish this through the use of project management tools, operational dashboards, KPIs/metrics, and written & verbal presentation skills.

You’re a Data Analyst with a Programming background. You have strong project management skills and time management proficiency which enable you to multi-task effectively, manage through ambiguity, and function well in a fast-paced, sometimes-unpredictable environment. You approach challenges with creativity and enthusiasm and stand behind your work products. You thrive in a team environment, and possess the motivation and drive to understand the details of how people work and what they require to do their jobs most effectively.

On our team you’ll apply your data sciences expertise to complex operational problems. You'll provide design recommendations, identify data sources, and gather, cleanse, model and test your ideas. We’ll depend on you to provide strategic thinking and tactical expertise across a broad range of disciplines across Infosys.

We'll trust you to:

• Design models to answer targeted business questions and drive change
• Be hands on with populating data, conducting data analysis, and building dashboards that influence business decisions
• Integrate yourself as a team player and collaborate with other analysts on department wide dashboard initiatives
• Research, develop and implement new methods of extracting relevant data from a variety of sources
• Collaborate and consult with business colleagues to better understand their domain
• Design, pro-type, and implement technical solutions using a combination of proprietary, third party and open source technology to solve complex business needs

What do I need to apply?

• A Bachelor's and/or Masters degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or
• Strong SQL coding background
• Progressive professional experience using Javascript / HTML / ASP / Python / R
• Business strategy, intelligence, and consulting
• Development and design of management KPI dashboards
• Proven technology business acumen utilizing statistics and process mapping
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities quickly
• Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and tracing root causes
• Superior written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
