The Data Loss Protection (DLP) Program Coordinator, within the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), is considered to be a key pillar in Bloomberg’s security program. Are you a motivated technical professional, who has a passion towards cyber security? And are accomplished in a systems- or applications-support role? In this program leadership role, Bloomberg will provide you the opportunity to apply your current skills, while you develop new ones that are required in the Cyber Security field.

The Bloomberg CSOC is responsible for the detection of cyber threats, and when detected, responsible for the rapid response, across both the diverse lines of business and the global network. The CSOC is an open and collaborative environment, where team members work together to identify and address the latest in cyber security threats facing the company. The CSOC is staffed 24 x 7 x 365, with varying shifts, and multiple tiers of support, ranging from first response Triage team to the Cyber Incident Response Team.

You’ll need to have:

• Prior experience as an analyst responding to dlp events
• Program and/or project management background with the ability to liaise with business partners
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Understand data analysis, including development of metrics
• Understand data loss fundamentals, including data at rest, host inspection, data in motion, encryption
• Have experience with rule and policy writing, including regular expressions, dictionaries, and other dlp methods
• Experience with tuning rules to improve signal to noise in false positive, false negative, true positive detection ratios 
• Project Management skills including goal setting, prioritization, ability to manage multi-threaded projects
• Ability to  multitask across various initiatives occurring simultaneously; some as the direct lead, others as a partner supporting related efforts
• Be comfortable with driving business collaboration and adoption of dlp tools; 
• Experience with insider threat and related risks
• Familiarity of Natural Language Processing as it relates to writing dlp rule sets

We’ll trust you to: 

• Drive DLP program objectives throughout Bloomberg and its partners
• Collaborate with the business on detection and mitigation of security events, while always looking to optimize technology and process
• Influence and define DLP product strategy and roadmap for program, including influencing monitoring solutions Bloomberg provides to its clients
• Assess, report on and make recommendations regarding current and proposed architectures, strategies, and systems in the DLP space
• Work with business to identify highly sensitive data and partner with varying teams to deploy protections that will meet the requirements of the data owner
• Analyze business requirements and provide recommendations for tuning  rules
• Participate in the Data Loss Incident response process alongside CSOC Triage Analysts to the extent is needed for continuous optimization the groups workflow
• Develop and continuously evolve employee communications related to data loss events
• Manage multiple DLP rulesets across inhouse products to keep in sync
• Analyse mitigation process and offer improvements and automation to improve efficiency
