Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is setting out to become the indispensable source of information for the world's most influential business leaders.

We’re looking for a highly motivated, hard-working producer to join the U.S. News Desk. You’ll need to be passionate about business and financial news. You’ll need to have strong editorial judgment, and passion for curating stories. You will need to be organized, and be able to work with and communicate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams. You have a keen eye for the details – and you are always up-to-date on what’s making news. We’re a global newsroom, so you will need to be willing to work some early mornings and late evenings.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Provide production support to our live TV and radio broadcasts, including managing the editing of sound from our key interviews for rebroadcast and arranging live hits with internal Bloomberg experts
  • Produce and manage the edits of pre-recorded interviews and manage edits from live incoming feeds
  • Research and arrange access to live feeds from external sources
  • Communicate with global editorial, production staff, on-air talent and colleagues from across Bloomberg's media platforms as required to ensure we maximize the impact of our content around the world
  • Manage the logistics of field productions including the booking of crew, site surveys, travel and accreditation
  • Field produce at news events in the U.S. and abroad as needed, including managing logistics, producing live reporter hits, interviewing newsmakers and communicating constantly with the relevant news desk and live show
  • Provide editorial support to the news desk, including taking on planning responsibilities as needed.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Recent and relevant live TV newsroom producing and editorial experience in business and financial news, including control room show elements
  • Prior TV assignment desk and/or field experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a real-time news environment
  • Knowledge of financial markets and business news
  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Flexibility with hours
