The Director of Ad Product is responsible for steering the vision and guiding the development for Bloomberg’s growing suite of ad products. You will lead a team of product managers to design, plan and build the ad product pipeline. You’ll be able to seamlessly collaborate across Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to deliver best in class online products. You will effectively and succinctly communicate the overall ad product strategy internally and to the broader market. Success will be defined by products shipped, as well as adoption and revenue from the ad product suite.


  •  Set a vision for our ad product strategy, balancing innovative products with user empathy to drive revenue and engagement for Bloomberg Media
  •  Drive the ad product roadmap across a suite of cross channel ad products covering video, rich media, custom content and ad tech performance
  •  Develop a team of product managers and technical designers, and foster close relationship with engineering partners to create a creative, collaborative and efficient work environment
  •  Define product evaluation, bringing a sharp eye for business success metrics feedback loop with the market to steer evolution of the product portfolio.
  •  Identify new digital monetization opportunities from industry trends and challenges, and perform market/competitive analysis to inform product decisions and roadmap
  •  Partner with our pricing, planning and sales groups to strategize and develop products that improve utilization across all Bloomberg advertising revenue streams
  •  Proactively ensure that the sales and operations teams are educated on new and innovative strategies and continually inspire teams to raise the bar strategically, creatively and operationally
  •  Be seen as a thought leader in the ad community for ad product strategy


  •  Minimum 8+ years of experience in product development and/or digital ad strategy
  •  Experience building ad products and demonstrated ability in understanding and discussing technical concepts and tradeoffs to guide product development
  •  A strong command of the ad technology landscape and its role in the broader advertising and marketing ecosystem
  •  Excellent influencing and presentation skills and a proven collaborator; ability to work successfully with both direct and indirect teams across the organization
  •  A strong bias toward action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development
  •  Empathy for our users, a high level of integrity
