The Network Infrastructure Tools team develops systems that manage, direct and transport the distribution of market data and critical electronic trades across Bloomberg's private network. We build configuration and monitoring modules, which are deployed across the entire network to collect real-time performance metrics. On our team, you will develop algorithms to optimize network traffic and connectivity for various Bloomberg products.

We are self-motivated engineers who like to research, learn, and apply current technology to build new products that anticipate our customers' needs. We work in a collaborative and Agile environment, which allows us to deploy new features to production every day. As part of a rapidly growing team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on challenging problems as well as key projects and initiatives.

You need to have:

• 3+ years of experience programming in C/C++
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed software systems
• Experience developing multi-threaded applications

• Knowledge of relational databases (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
• Experience building trading applications using FIX/MQ/AEP protocols
• Familiarity with Big Data storage & Data Analytics (Hadoop, R)
