What's the role?

Bloomberg's Diversity and Inclusion team is looking for a Client Partner to help advance the company’s global D&I initiative, and to serve as a thought partner and support on the strategy and vision for diversity and inclusion in our News & Media business. We’re seeking a creative and results-driven individual who is curious, eager to learn and be more involved and embedded in D&I efforts at BLP, and can help to design, drive and deliver strategic D&I initiatives.

We’ll Trust You To:

  • Work with and alongside the Head of D&I-Americas and team of Client Partners to provide guidance, advice, thought leadership, trainings, data, solutions and consultation to HRBPs, business leaders, D&I champions and colleagues in News & Media
  • Prepare and analyze data sets, outline data trends, define and assess key business critical metrics, short and long term
  • Work collaboratively across the D&I team, alongside our HR colleagues, including Leadership Talent & Development and External Relations, and partner with our talent development and recruiting teams to craft, develop and deliver innovative strategies and programs
  • Help support and ensure business alignment with enterprise wide and regional strategies
  • Be a key part of helping develop the strategy and integration of D&I in and across the business, while also being a partner in providing guidance and consultation to HR partners, business leaders, managers, and employees
  • Support and work with the talent acquisition team, HRBPs, and business to analyze employment activities such as applicant flow, new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions to identify potential areas of focus and other opportunities to promote diversity initiatives
  • Invest in your continued learning on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and the landscape on regulatory and policy developments affecting Diversity & Inclusion
  • Be prepared to represent D&I and Bloomberg in internal and external meetings and speaking events
  • Implement multiple projects following a matrix model, driving successful and measurable outcomes

You'll need to have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in diversity, equity, and inclusion, with strategic and operational experiences delivering programs and initiatives including D&I initiatives in partnership with a business
  • Deep understanding and evidence of driving projects and initiatives together with a demonstrated commitment to partnership and successful outcomes as a self-starter
  • Strong understanding and dedication to working with a team, supporting a client, and the critical thinking and communication skills required to ensure success in both models and relationships
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's Degree in business or HR-related program
  • Knowledge, awareness and experience in the design and delivery of diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives preferred
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, storytelling and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting numerical data, and translating analyses into meaningful recommendations
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel

We'd love to see:

  • Experience in D&I with a desire to deepen learning, understanding, and a career working in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
  • At least 3 years of experience working on or leading D&I initiatives in the news and media industry strongly encouraged

Salary Range: 125,000 - 150,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
