Corporate Philanthropy is core to the culture of Bloomberg and has both an internal and external focus, striving to reflect the global scale, diversity, and culture at Bloomberg. We have a dedication to addressing unmet needs in the communities globally in which our employees live and work. This team coordinates the company's partnerships with charitable and cultural organizations globally, collaborates with other departments, teams and offices to drive business, and coordinates all our volunteer engagement with partner organizations.

What’s the role?

We are looking for an energetic, approachable, and dedicated individual to join the corporate philanthropy team helping to support our employee engagement programs and events in our New York office.

You must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented, able to think strategically, take quick and appropriate initiative, and enjoy working with a diversity of stakeholders. You have a strong ability to facilitate projects and events from conception to completion with an understanding of our strategic priorities. You'll be tasked with making quick, reliable decisions in a high touch, constantly evolving environment. You must be creative, comfortable and confident in your approach, and understand there is an expectation of flexibility in hours that may include evening and weekends.

You will be proactive and efficient in organizing a variety of on and off-site events and programs. You will also help to align corporate philanthropy goals with Bloomberg’s business priorities.

We'll trust you to:

  • Lead and implement a range of partnerships for employee engagement programs
  • Coordinate with local nonprofit partners to organize important individual, team and family volunteer opportunities
  • Assist in volunteer recruitment, training and tracking of metrics
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other members of the team to align on partnerships and programs
  • Prepare reports and in office communication

You'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, primarily in employee engagement
  • Excellent written communication skills-comfort using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Google Docs
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively carry out overlapping program and event schedules in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding judgment and discretion, and the passion and skill required to work as a collaborative team member

Salary Range: 38 - 45 USD Hourly

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
