Bloomberg EMSxNET team is looking for a highly motivated, experienced software developer consultant to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment, where their contributions to the team make a direct impact on the product and global market. Buy-side firms across the globe leverage the EMSX applications daily in order to reach over 2500 multi asset broker destinations globally.

EMSxNet platform connects a buy-side firm's Execution and Order Management Systems to Bloomberg's network of broker destinations, allowing traders to send orders to brokers on the Bloomberg network using their preferred trading platform. EMSxNet will route that order and have that trade data securely published back in real time to their Bloomberg for reporting and deeper post trade analysis available within Bloomberg's suite of execution analytics.

A successful candidate candidate will work on implementing tools to optimize the project development lifecycle. The candidate will also be involved in design, implementation, and testing of enhancements to the order routing servers. The candidate will work on developing unit testing workflow and implementing it for the servers' code bases. The EMSxNET team provides a great opportunity to learn financial industry specific skills such as FIX protocol, trading of multi-asset instruments (Equity, Options, Futures) and real-time analytics.

The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in Perl and/or Python, UNIX, C/C++, and associated debuggers. The applicant should have strong written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of solid C/C++/UNIX experience
• Demonstrated experience with Javascript
• Knowledge of GIT version control system is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of FIX protocol is a plus
• Data structure and multi threading skills is a plus
• Experience with IPC and socket programming is a plus
