Bloomberg runs on data and technology. In Global Data, we’re responsible for onboarding, analyzing, applying and supplying it to help answer our clients’ questions. We manage data and workflow processes on the Bloomberg Terminal to help our clients solve problems such as how to measure the risk of monsoons in Vietnam, so clients looking to invest in agriculture there can make more informed decisions; or how to measure the real wealth of people in Venezuela, for clients who want to open stores in South America. We analyze data so our teams can turn it into insights for our users.

What’s the role:

We’re looking for an experienced Executive Administrator to work with and support the Global Head of our Global Data business. In this highly visible and key role you’ll be trusted to use good judgement in helping the Global Head plan, organize and schedule their day. You’ll be expected to regularly interact with individuals at all levels and provide regular updates to the Global Head. If you are proactive and thoughtful in anticipating business needs and thrive in prioritizing urgent tasks in a fast-paced environment than you will be a strong fit in Global Data.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Maintain the calendar for an executive with a busy and fluid schedule
  • Arrange domestic and international travel
  • Plan and prepare both recurring, annual and adhoc meetings including booking appropriate meeting space, organizing invitations, meals, etc.
  • Partner with other Executive Assistants and provide additional coverage when required
  • Gather and analyze data for reporting and to aid in decision making
  • Help coordinate messaging sent to the Global Data department

You’ll need to have:

  • 3 or more years of professional experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Sound judgement and the ability to make logical and data driven decisions
  • The ability to collaborate across multiple departments
  • Excellent written and communication skills

We’d love to see:

  • 3 or more years working as an Executive Assistant
  • Experience in the financial services or technology industry
  • Experience using the Bloomberg Professional terminal
