Our team is responsible for the infrastructure that’s at the heart of these products. We provide low latency services for data ingestion and access, position transformations, cash impact calculations, corporate actions and auditing/ticketing event processing. We host large client portfolio data sets and build & maintain scalable systems that are capable of serving millions of time-series data points within a few seconds to client applications. Our platform processes hundreds of millions of requests per day to provide data integration of portfolios, benchmarks, indices, public funds and other membership lists with portfolio analytics and a wide range of Bloomberg Terminal applications. Our team works on researching, designing and developing systems that are highly distributed in nature, with most of our tech stack being implemented in C++, Python, and Javascript. We use technologies like Splunk, Humio, Grafana, and others for monitoring overall system health, and a quantitative approach to technical decision making and design. Leveraging industry standard Open Source technologies like Cassandra, Kafka, and Elastic Search, our infrastructure is a key part of our business, analyzing and estimating client usage and expected growth as our enterprise client base continues to widen every year.

• Move fast and thoughtfully while being proactive in ensuring system stability and performance.

You'll need to have:

• 3+ years programming experience in C++, Python, or Javascript.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong understanding of large scale systems architecture
• BA, BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technology field

We'd love to see:

• Prior experience in developing and maintaining a large code base, using version control systems and collaborations tools like git, phabricator, etc
• Working knowledge of unix / linux
• Familiarity with technologies like Cassandra, Kafka, Elastic Search, Redis, etc
