The Global Production team literally spans the globe with units based in New York, London and Hong Kong, and we support a thriving newsroom that not only includes live and pre-recorded video programs, but audio, digital platforms and live events. With over 2,700 news professionals in 150 bureaus across 73 countries- we face exciting challenges every minute of every day.
THE ROLE:
The New York Field Desk will require a strong set of planning and logistics skills as well as a robust knowledge of modern field production and live events. Our group is nimble and plans television productions all across North America with high frequency in New York, Washington DC and San Francisco. You will sit firmly entrenched in our New York headquarters and interact across all of media verticals that Bloomberg has to offer. It is a team oriented atmosphere and is often required to adapt in evolving and pressure-filled situations.
WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:
- Book crews and studios across North America daily
- Work collaboratively with editorial teams to prioritize and scale coverage based on news-flow and programming needs
- Conduct site surveys and manage productions in the field
- Handle daily schedules of staff field camera operators
- Work with the NY Assignment Desk daily to make sure news coverage needs are met
YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:
- 5+ years experience of field production
- A growing network of field crews and studios to draw upon
- The ability to build both small and large scale production budgets
- A practical and working knowledge of both modern field production and live event production
- Knowledge of up to date technology and hardware for transmission from the field
- An understanding of the inner workings of control rooms and master control
- A basic working framework of cameras, lighting and audio
- Knowledge and an innovative approach of scheduling systems

Salary Range: 65,000 - 85,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
