Bloomberg is pleased to invite interested finance professionals to learn more about our company’s commitment to diversity and how our products are responding to regulatory change and market movement in 2018. This program, which will help kick off Bloomberg’s celebration of African-American History Month, will engage diverse professionals to provide an understanding of the opportunities at Bloomberg and allow them to connect with managers across our many financial services products and businesses.

As a participant, you will have the opportunity to learn more about Bloomberg through speaker sessions and network with members of Bloomberg Financial Products businesses, Bloomberg’s Black Professionals Community, and fellow attendees. The program will also feature Professor Katherine Phillips, the Columbia Business School Paul Calello Professor of Leadership and Ethics, who will share her perspectives on the value and impact of diversity in our workplaces.

Following the event, participants may be encouraged to apply for a permanent role within one of our Financial Products departments.

Recommended Guest Profile - Attendees should have the following minimum skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of work experience
  • Experience working in the financial markets
  • Strong verbal communication skills with an ability to convey complex ideas and solutions in a simple and concise way
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to identify and develop opportunities for other groups within the company and to build strong external networks
  • A strong desire to work in an innovative environment with a high level of decision- making responsibility
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to operate within both departmental and company-wide initiatives, in a non-hierarchical structure without corporate titles or structure
