Bloomberg's Global Facilities Operations team is seeking a Global Facilities Lead to support a global portfolio of workspaces and services that serve 20,000 employees and over 330,000 clients. This role will be a key member of the leadership team that will lead all aspects of global facilities operations and deliver first-class workplaces that stimulate the productivity, engagement, and collaboration that Bloomberg is known for.

We’ll Trust You To:

  • Oversee Bloomberg’s global IFM contracts working closely with our Procurement partners on scope of work, vendor selection, contract negotiation; contract management; providing hands-on governance across our vendor environments; reviewing and monitoring process needs and deliverables
  • Develop and manage large global budgets, track and monitor expenditures while conducting business analysis and reporting of financial data, working closely with the CFO team.
  • Develop vendor KPI strategies and metrics to measure the success of contractual scopes of work
  • Closely collaborate with key internal teams (e.g. Workplace Design, Capital Projects and Sustainability) on global office builds, from the creation of operational requirements through move-in  to final operation. Where necessary leading small to mid-sized cap-ex operational projects as required.
  • Lead the planning and preparation efforts in support of Bloomberg’s Return to Office (RTO) preparations and plans. Proactively review COVID-19 requirements to ensure compliance with local and CDC guidelines across our global locations.
  • Provide global oversight of Bloomberg's office spaces to ensure global consistency. Develop strategic site space plans to support internal desk moves, develop strategies to maximize space planning, drive diversity and inclusion accommodations, and contribute to the enterprise sustainable operations strategy.
  • Work with our incident management and business continuity teams on developing and implementing disaster recovery plans.
  • Understanding of the roles of a Chief Product Owner, Product owner and Scrum Master in Scrum.
  • Adopt the Agile / Scrum framework and its methodologies to deliver continuous improvements and complex solutions across the business.

You’ll need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Workplace or Office Facilities Management.
  • 15+ years of relevant Facilities Management experience with at least 5 years operating at a Director (or similar) level managing and delegating tasks to senior teams.
  • Significant experience managing the complexities of large IFM contracts.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with an innate ability to build positive relationships and influence across functions within a large organization.
  • Exposure to or experience managing operating budgets of $100M or more.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP experience.
  • Strong leadership presence and experience collaborating with Procurement, Capital Projects, and Design teams.
  • Highly resourceful and versatile with strong problem-solving skills, a sense of urgency, and a natural ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks with varying deadlines.
  • Successful candidates will combine rigorous business acumen with process design, workflow optimization, and facilities operations.

  • Ability to combine business needs with hard data to identify and implement a compelling path forward.
