Our Team:

Our Global Information Systems Group (Infosys) is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting Bloomberg’s the internal IT systems, including our global corporate network, and the hardware and software to support nearly 19,000 employees in more than 170 offices around the world. We are also responsible for the audio-visual technology in all of Bloomberg’s public spaces (including training and conference rooms), that host more than 500,000 visitors to Bloomberg offices each year.

Our employees rely on the technology solutions and support Infosys provides to do their jobs in a fast-paced, highly-demanding, technology-focused environment. We are a close-knit, hardworking team organized into 6 groups: Service Desk, Desktop Technicians, Infrastructure, Audio-Visual, Corporate Security, and Mobile Technology. Each of these groups develop, deploy and rely upon a complex set of proprietary and third-party systems to deliver the services we provide; and those systems are the key to understanding where we are doing our jobs well, and where we need to improve.

For example, our 19,000 employees generate more than 320,000 service requests each year through a ticketing system that drives both human and automated services—from software download to a Desktop dispatch. We handle approximately 400+ software titles, as well as, monitor and implement security for the entire corporate network that consists of 28,000 PCs, 50,000 screen displays and 120,000 network connections.

What's The Role:

The Global Head of Employee & Visitor Experience (EVE) is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the technologies, tools, hardware, software and troubleshooting that Bloomberg’s 19,000 employees rely on every day to do their jobs. Bloomberg has a dynamic and diverse workforce that includes thousands of software engineers, salespeople, product developers, data specialists, news reporters, operations support, and many others. Each of these groups has unique needs that we must meet to ensure our products and services get to our customers. Our primary goals are to anticipate and deliver the services our workforce needs quickly, efficiently, through an engagement experience that is pleasant and as seamless as possible.

In addition, the head of EVE supports the technologies and guest experiences that service more than 500,000+ annual visitors to Bloomberg’s offices around the world. We’ll Trust You To:

  • Lead the definition and implementation of our end user experience approach and best practices
  • Direct, manage, and act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Drive a responsive design agenda, ensuring product experiences render seamlessly
  • Appropriately balance the need for efficiency and speed
  • Be a key leader in driving, defining, and executing the company’s innovation agenda
  • Monitor relevant emerging trends and technologies
  • Direct technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects
  • Ensure product experiences behave according to our core values and expectations
  • Establish design standards that reflect brand standards across the organization
  • Drive UX quality across all of our products, devices, territories within our environment
  • Build UX team delivery and collaborative processes
  • Deliver on-time and on-budget
  • Always care to build and maintain a strong talent foundation across the UX discipline
  • Have exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Be a key leader in building consensus in cross-service design initiatives

You’ll Need To Have:

  • 5+ years in a UX leadership position for a consumer brand
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis of computer hardware/software systems
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation
  • Team building, mentoring, and leadership skills
  • Strong management and project management skills
  • Excellent creative, communication and analytical skills
  • Strong intellectual and emotional capacities
  • Passion for design and an eye for quality
  • Demonstrated ability to delight users at global scale across several platforms
  • Deep knowledge of the global digital device landscape
  • Deep knowledge of responsive design techniques

We’d Love To See:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Networks, IT Security, or similar field
  • Experience managing Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.
  • Experience leading Desktop Support & Desktop Technician teams
  • Audio Visual support experience
