The Infrastructure Production group in Engineering delivers a wide range of technologies to support Bloomberg's development environment. We build out common services that every engineering team can use to monitor, visualize and diagnose their applications and infrastructure. We implement modern technology ideology in the organization and assist all teams with implementation, automation and design.

We are a new team at Bloomberg and one of the most widely used across the entire company. On our team, you'll be part of a large cultural shift within the company. If you like working with large scale systems and grappling with billions of data points a day, ask us where to sign up.

We'll trust you to:

  • Design, architect, automate and deliver large scale production-ready services
  • Build internal tools to monitor, visualize and diagnose all aspects of Bloomberg applications and hardware
  • Work closely with our product and platform teams on their architecture, design and scaling
  • challenges

  • Help teams replace legacy software and design patterns with modern technologies
  • Develop and maintain documentation, training and SLAs for managed infrastructure

You need to have:

  • 2+ years of experience building similar systems
  • Experience with large scale data processing and automating and implementing large-scale fault-tolerant distributed systems
  • Knowledge of physical hardware and provisioning processes
  • Familiarity with open source software
