What's the role?

We are Global Talent Development. Our team is a made of up of leadership, learning and talent development specialists, and our commitment is to create leadership, learning and development solutions that will positively impact how our workforce operates. We work with managers and our HR colleagues to develop existing leaders, and identify and grow high potential talent. We use a holistic approach to learning solutions, always taking into account Bloomberg's global scope and diverse businesses.

In addition to supporting our leaders in the Americas, our New York based team partners with our Talent Development teams in EMEA and APAC to develop our leaders and teams around the globe.

The Opportunity:

You will partner with managers/HR business partners to understand the leadership and talent development needs of the business to build and deliver solutions. You'll be part of a team that designs, delivers and evaluates the core leadership curriculum from aspiring leaders to senior managers. You will consistently link Talent Development to business performance and ensure that your solutions are effective, scalable globally and aligned with our global priorities.

We'll trust you to:

  • Deliver classroom, blended and remote programs
  • Partner with managers to understand the learning needs from their business areas and engage resources from the team to create solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR to define the training needs for different parts of the business and align development with a broader people strategy
  • Design leadership development courses to be utilized globally
  • Manage learning initiatives around a continuous cycle of needs analysis, design, project management and logistics, delivery and evaluation
  • Work collaboratively with Talent Development colleagues locally and globally to drive the business plan
  • Coach line managers to understand and leverage Talent Development
  • Select and manage vendors

You need to be able to:

  • Deliver Leadership training
  • Communicate persuasively and credibly (both verbally and in writing)
  • Adapt in a constantly changing environment
  • Be pragmatic and passionate about delivery
  • Partner with business managers and HR Business Partners

You need to have:

  • 10+ years of proven track record of design and delivery of training in a commercial environment, with a strong emphasis on leadership development
  • Excellent training delivery and facilitation skills, with experience delivering to international groups and using a variety of delivery methods and platforms
  • Demonstrated understanding of learning and development in design choices and the use of different media
  • Consulting experience (as an internal or external consultant)
  • Experience identifying and developing high potential talent
  • Solid organizational skills and take personal accountability for the success of initiatives
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization skills
  • An ability to act professionally regarding sensitive subjects, and an ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

  • Experience with diversity and inclusion work
  • Coaching experience
  • Experience of working on and implementing Change and Talent Management initiatives
  • Experience in Financial or Professional Services
