The Bloomberg Legal & Compliance Department plays a critical role in supporting our businesses and operations around the world. This role is on the Legal Operations Team that is part of the Chief of Staff Office. You will be working closely with members across the Legal & Compliance Department and business stakeholders at all levels of the Company. You will be tasked with taking ownership of various operational processes and technology in order to support members of the department.     

We’ll trust you to:

  • Provide a wide-variety of administrative and operational support to members of the Department
  • Identify and implement Legal and Compliance Department tools and technologies to streamline new or existing practices, as well as managing design, rollout, and training for new systems
  • Develop positive, strong, and collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Respond to routine inquiries regarding business processes and use of systems
  • Manage ad hoc projects within the various Legal and Compliance practice areas

You’ll need to have:

  • 2-3 years of in-house or law firm experience in Legal Operations
  • Familiarity with Legal eBilling process and software
  • Proactive approach to recognizing needs, anticipating issues, and solving problems

  • Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work on projects requiring a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail with outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while effectively managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously

We’d love to see:

  • Familiarity with the Passport Legal eBilling platform
  • Experience using a Legal Matter Management system
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel & writing macros
  • Project management, analytical and problem-solving experience
  • Experience coordinating and managing electronic document collection, review, and production
  • An interest in financial news and technology
