Machine learning has quickly become a buzzword in the tech space, but not without merit. The need for scalable AI/ML/statistics solutions has accelerated in every part of our business. We at Bloomberg want to equip our engineers with the education and tools they need to apply the latest machine learning methods as well as more classical techniques from statistics and data analytics to challenges across our teams. We understand how impactful these areas of study will be on the industry, and are excited to be opening a new position to meet this challenge: Machine Learning Educator / Research Engineer at Bloomberg. That's where you come in.

Who are you?

You're passionate about education, ML/AI/Statistics, and making big impacts across an entire technology company. You are a thought leader, comfortable with making decisions, and ready to build something brand new.

This role will have two major functions - to develop our machine learning education program, and work closely with the AI team to help onboard engineers to our data science platform.

We'll expect you to:

  • Develop our internal machine learning education program
  • Design curricula
  • Teach classes
  • Manage education vendors
  • Work closely with the CTO office and the Artificial Intelligence team to help our engineers leverage their new skills on a new data science platform.

You'll need to have:

  • TA/Professor experience in an AI/ML/Statistics domain
  • Interest in applied machine learning and statistics
  • Theoretical math expertise
  • A strong foundation of software engineering concepts
