In order to keep up with growing demands of our business use cases we want to grow and expand our Market Data SRE group as well to inject it with proven experienced outside SRE knowledge.
The Market Data SRE group will:
- Create and ensures a SLA for each component service that it supports
- Request and/or makes changes so that components can be installed and managed
- Ensures that the Market Data System is supported as a single service by ensuring common and integrated standards with respect to logging, latency, troubleshooting, monitoring, etc.
- Develop Software toward automating monitoring, alerting, capacity management, triage, recovery and change management activities
The manager of the Market Data SRE group is expected to:
- Drive strategic,technical, and operational process direction for the group
- Understand and transform legacy software
- Grow the management and technical capabilities of the team
- Collaborate effective across multiple time zones – Americas, EMEA, APAC
- Bring and entrench SRE culture in the Market Data team
You'll need to have:
- A strong background in building a development focused operations/production engineering organization
- In-depth knowledge of Linux/UNIX
- Exposure to C/C++ or Java technologies
- An understanding of a variety of scripting languages
- 2+ years of experience using wide variety of open source technologies and tools such as Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Gyp, Make, GIT, GitHub, SVN

- The ability to collaborate and bridge gaps between different engineering teams
- Proven record of transforming legacy systems
- Experience with hands on technical development with respect to the latest tools for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, triage, and capacity planning
