The Bloomberg CTO Office is the forward-looking technical arm of Bloomberg L.P. We envision, design and prototype the next generation infrastructure, hardware and applications that interface in all aspects of the company including financial products, broadcast and media, data centers, internal IT and our global network.  Security is of utmost importance to Bloomberg’s business.  We are seeking a technical architect to lead and set our mobile enterprise-level technical security foundation and direction.  You will have the opportunity to set the security direction and architecture for our internal mobile and customer facing applications on both Android and iOS.  Whether it’s working with Engineering teams or mobile business stakeholders, security is at the forefront of everything we do.

We are the CTO Security Architecture group. We solve complex security problems to enable innovative new products, and prototype the next generation of infrastructure security technologies.  Whether we’re designing our next generation security controls, threat modeling our distributed systems, or enabling secure mobile access and authentication to our services, our goal is to define the future of how we secure Bloomberg’s infrastructure. That’s where you come in. 

We'll expect you to:

• Daily focus on advancing our security posture and driving forward mobile security efforts
• Create strategic mobile security architecture and direction, aligning with plans across the organization
• Lead organizational efforts to secure our mobile applications used by both customers and employees
• Work closely with cross functional teams, including internal security organizations and our mobile application development teams to advance our security posture
• Drive forward best practices for secure mobile application development
• Be an expert in mobile application architecture, including authentication, encryption, and logging

You’ll need to have:

• 5+ years experience in Mobile Development (Android/iOS)
• 5+ years experience as a security practitioner
• Demonstrated mobile security experience
• Strong proficiency in Obj-C/Java/Kotlin
• Have expert knowledge around best practices for hardening Android and iOS platforms
• Knowledge of Mobile Application security testing
• Strong multitasking and organization skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

We'd love to see:

• Experience with cryptographic algorithms and applied usage
• Project leadership or product management experience

Salary Range: 240,000 - 330,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
