Who we are?

The Bloomberg Network Communications team is responsible for the procurement and implementation of one of the largest private networks in the world.
We are responsible for the management of Telecommunications service provider relationships, where the services provided are critical to the uninterrupted network performance of our internal/external customers. The team ensures that the execution of telecommunications services is timely and the expectations are well communicated to our customers.

What’s the role?

We’re looking for a Team Leader to lead our day to day operations.
We are accountable for the full lifecycle of the telecommunications implementation process including, pricing, design, order management and testing. Furthermore, we serve as the escalation resource for post implementation support. We collaborate with both internal and external partners; assessing and understanding our clients' needs; adhering to project methodologies; and effectively managing and organizing resources.

The objectives of the role are achieved by maintaining an active vendor management role, while also ensuring the team's successful assigned vendor partnerships. You should have a high attention to detail as you’ll be handling telecommunication vendor relationships at a senior level. You will drive team members, including communicating team goals and identifying new process areas of improvement. You'll be a strong listener and communicator (written/verbal) to successfully collaborate with a variety of business partners.

We'll trust you to:

  • Conduct career development, performance management, resource management, and employee evaluations
  • Answer team member questions, help with team member problems, and lead team members' work for quality and guideline compliance
  • Develop a positive relationship with Installations, Network Operations, and other business partners at all levels ensuring initiatives (project or product based) meet objectives on time
  • Manage multiple Telecom Vendor relationships at a senior level
  • Ensure vendors are delivering services timely
  • Manage Telecom invoice approvals and billing inquiries
  • Implement and maintain awareness of new technologies and commercial deals
  • Advance high profile circuit installations
  • Execute on department initiatives

You'll need to have:

  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 year Telecommunication industry experience. Familiarity with MPLS carrier Ethernet Networks, Switched Networks TDM, Cross Connects, Wave, Voice (PRI/SIP/POTS) and other industry trends
  • 5 plus years' project management experience
  • Team building and leadership experience
  • Proven Project management skills
  • Experience in reviewing and approving invoices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to communicate with senior leadership
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong problem solving and prioritization skills
  • Experience in collaborating globally

We’d love to see:

  • Strong data mining excel skills
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese
  • ITIL certification
