The Network Security team is the backbone of security at Bloomberg. We're dedicated to finding innovative ways to improve our customers' browsing experience and enhancing security. Colleagues, across the enterprise, depend on us to help architect, design, build, and maintain security and application delivery solutions. We're hooked on researching new technologies and keeping up with the latest changes in HTTP, SSL, and malware trends, so everyone on our team has both the breadth and depth to dissect and resolve even the most complex of problems.

We'll trust you to:

• Collaborate with engineering and operational groups to architect, design, build, and maintain security and application delivery solutions across Bloomberg
• Learn, test, implement, and recommend alternatives to existing commercial products
• Perform troubleshooting security issues across multiple platforms and technologies to solve complex issues

You need to have:

• 5-7 years of experience in a large enterprise or service provider environment or related expertise
• Web proxy and load balancer experience at the enterprise level
• Thorough troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills including packet capture analysis
• In-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security and strong authentication and security protocols
• A deep understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP and TLS/SSL at the protocol level
• UNIX/Linux scripting experience in Bash or Python

We'd love to see:

• Experience with Symantec/BlueCoat ProxySG, Management Center, Malware Analysis Appliance, SSL Visibility Appliance, Security Analytics Platform
• Experience with building network management tools and creating detailed documentation
• Familiarity with Chef or Salt for automation
• Knowledge of PKI deployments, as well as DNS and VRRP at the protocol level
