The Team:

People are our most important asset, and effective data management and reporting is critical to keeping our people safe, delivering the best work experience for our staff and maximizing the impact of each individual to the organization. The People Analytics team is responsible for defining, analyzing and executing on projects that utilize data for reporting and analytics, including aggregating key business information related to our talent, utilizing data driven insights and predictive modeling to solve complex business problems, and creating opportunities to partner with business units to drive business and process improvements to manage our talent lifecycle.

As the People Reporting and Enablement Specialist, you will be part of a team of analysts focused on human capital reporting and analytics, providing strategic insights through workforce metrics, dashboards, and reports. You will create and automate reports to "tell the story" about human capital at Bloomberg.

You will build reports, automate report development, utilize data-driven insights and partner with key stake holders to drive business and process improvements.

You will also need to configure existing HRIS systems such as Workday, Visier and our HR data warehouse and operational data store in order to support HR and business reporting requirements.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Report, identify and highlight HR data and insights from the content
  • Develop reports, dashboards, visualizations and analytics solutions to solve business needs
  • Develop and manage data-driven/evidence-based research that addresses critical HR issues
  • Provide management support to the HR function in the areas of people metrics, reporting, and analysis
  • Develop consultative partnerships with internal clients to understand key performance indicators, reporting requirements and analysis that drive improved business performance
  • Structure and integrate internal and external data in Excel, Access and SQL databases to expand the data universe utilized by the team, HR and the business
  • Work closely with HRIS and IT to develop and enhance the HR data warehouse, SQL operational data store and other systems for data performance and access
  • Automate, standardize, schedule and publish key reports and analysis to help disseminate data and insights
  • Manage the pipeline of reporting and analysis projects worked on by the team making sure targets and expectations for delivery are fulfilled
  • Determine relevant metrics for predictive analytics, leading/lagging indicators to determine risks, and opportunities from a human capital perspective

You need to have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in reporting and information delivery to stakeholders
  • Experience with collaborating and consulting with business partners to support complex business requirements for reporting and analytics projects
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Access skills with advanced spreadsheet and formula knowledge
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects in parallel, work collaboratively with teams and as an individual contributor
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong interest in research, data, metrics and analysis
  • A track record of effectively working with HR data and metrics or related reporting and business analysis experience

We'd love to see:

  • Experience creating Workday reports
  • Knowledge of database development (SQL, Access, VBA)
  • Experience with Business Objects / Visier Analytics
