Bloomberg’s Corporate Philanthropy Team’s mission is to harness the skills and resources of our employees and our business to benefit colleagues, communities and clients around the world. Corporate Philanthropy is core to the culture of Bloomberg and has both an internal and external focus. The Corporate Philanthropy team coordinates the company's partnerships with cultural and charitable organizations globally, collaborates with other departments in the company to drive business, and coordinates all of our volunteer engagement with cultural and charitable organizations.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the corporate philanthropy team as a program coordinator for our employee programs and non-profit partners in New York. You are goal and detail oriented, think critically, take appropriate initiative, and enjoy working with a diversity of stake holders. We’ll expect you to be nimble, understand our strategic priorities and be able to manage events and projects from conception to execution.

In this role, we’ll trust you to work as part of a team, helping us to align corporate philanthropy’s goals with Bloomberg’s business priorities throughout the Americas. Creativity, flexibility in terms of hours and approach to work, as well as excellent organization skills are key to the success of this position.

We'll Trust you to:

  • Maintain a wide range of partnerships for employee engagement programs, including:
  • Coordinating with our current non-profit partners to organize meaningful individual, team and family volunteer opportunities and actively recruiting and training volunteers as needed
  • Sustaining ongoing and establish new relationships with non-profit organizations
  • Managing our mentoring programs, including developing workshops, recruiting volunteers and tracking their hours, and providing feedback as needed
  • Responding to internal and external queries about Bloomberg’s Corporate Philanthropy
  • Maintain relationship with other members of the Corporate Philanthropy team, including:
  • Balance scheduling, travel arrangements and other administrative tasks for the Americas Head of Corporate Philanthropy
  • Coordinating meetings to align on partnerships and programs
  • Working with the Events team to create employee experiences, review timing and logistics, develop run of show, select catering, and manage other event details, when necessary
  • Analysis and tracking of metrics, preparation of reports, and communications.

You'll need to have:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable with Excel, and data base management
  • Facility to work as a team member and team leader
  • Ability to work with a multitude of individuals – across business units, with varying experience and tenures, and often senior level management
  • Outstanding judgement and discretion
  • Capacity to influence and direct others, often without direct line reporting authority
  • Desire to succeed in a fast paced, innovative, and ambitious environment
