We collaborate with data teams, core business managers and engineering for technology implementation to drive automation, data quality and time to market.

The Bloomberg Equity Capital Markets data team is looking for highly-motivated professionals to join our Private Equity team. To be successful, you’ll need to possess a rare combination of business insight, technical skills, project management chops, and domain knowledge. You’ll also need to have entrepreneurial spirit and social skills in order to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and audiences across Bloomberg. You’ll have fun, you’ll learn a lot, and have a true impact by helping us build out and enhance our product.

We’ll trust you to:

• Research and analyze financial data for the Bloomberg Private Equity Product
• Provide technical business analysis to teams across Global Data
• Develop, collect and manage Private Equity Data, including General Partners, Limited Partners, Fundraising data and performance data
• Work with our team to analyze, maintain and process all aspects of the datasets
• Expand data coverage and analysis in the global private equity market
• Build relationships with private equity firms and working closely with Sales, R&D, and Business as part of the on-going product development
• Be a self-starter, be curious, and have entrepreneurial spirit!

You’ll need to have:

• 1 to 3 years of Private Equity data and research experience
• Demonstrated ability to look comprehensively across quantitative and qualitative data sources to develop actionable insights
• Ability to communicate insights in written and verbal format
• Working knowledge of financial data and of financial analysis
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Keen eye for the details
• Passion and desire to be part of a multidisciplinary team
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

We’d love to see:

• Advanced Excel skills and a working knowledge of Python, SQL
• Working knowledge of process engineering, data mining, data modeling, and data visualization
