Our Team:

The Access Control and Product Development team in Bloomberg’s Chief Risk and Compliance Office (CRCO) is responsible for securing and streamlining employee access to data. We own the primary tool suite used to privilege and manage internal access, as well as develop risk-based access management solutions across Bloomberg. We work closely with our Engineering Department to streamline product enhancements, design workflows/user stories, and develop innovative tools to safeguard one of Bloomberg’s most valued assets: data.

What's The Role?

We are seeking a Product Manager to work on access control related products and projects that ensure the security of client data.  The candidate will be assigned products/functions to own and will be expected to contribute to the development of the strategy and roadmap to manage access and privileging for the company.  Products/projects will require success metrics to measure effectiveness and benefits.  This role will also include strong collaboration with Risk Strategy and Data Analytics teams under Bloomberg Risk Management, CTO, Product Security Architecture, CISO, Insider Threat and Vendor Risk Management teams within CRCO, as well as close interactions with Engineering and various business departments in the organization.

We'll Trust You To:

  • Collaborate with business and the team to drive the direction of the Access Control and Data Protection product
  • Work with R&D and business units to define solutions to close data access gaps and provide secure access
  • Provide operational support for firm-wide privileging requests, and contributing to the vision and direction of the access control tool set
  • Develop and communicate a product vision for new tools and enhancements
  • Develop requirements, detailed project plans/roadmaps, success metrics and work estimates
  • Develop effective architecture solutions that not only satisfy immediate project requirements but also deliver a coherent, reusable, reliable and phased architecture to help the business grow and change while aligning to strategic vision
  • Ensure data integrity for use in the privileging systems with HR
  • Take an active role in educating and training key partners within our product suite such as BARs, Role Owners and Business COO’s
  • Provide oversight into our privileging system performing and facilitating internal reviews
  • Provide business analyst support to the design and development/enhancement of critical BRM technology tools, including requirements gathering and leading specs and development work with ENG
  • Provide risk analysis and control design expertise to enable business units to make risk-aware decisions

You'll Need To Have:

  • Experience with product/project management and know how to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
  • Interest in deepening your comprehension of access control systems and industry standards
  • Experience with information security technologies in different domains with a focus on identity and access management solutions and controls including: application and database security, network and infrastructure security, and cryptographic algorithms and key management
  • Self-motivation and creativity
  • An analytical and detail oriented mind with an interest in large data analysis
  • Problem solving skills and an interest in taking on end to end project management responsibilities for high-profile projects
  • Technically minded aptitude and a strong interest in the application of both new and proven technologies to solve problems
  • Knowledge about Bloomberg and our business
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences as well as demonstrate the ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Advanced Excel (such Vlookups and Pivot Tables) and Powerpoint skills

We'd Love To See:

  • Strong interest in analyzing existing systems and define opportunities to implement automation that drive efficiency and secure access
  • Successful candidate will lead the work efforts to create and update identity and access management architecture including control requirements, strategy and direction
  • Knowledge and understanding of application security planning and security architecture
  • QlikSense and/or Tableau skills to analyze and visual data
  • Experience developing and executing new workflows and processes
  • Experience in JIRA, Agile and Scrum
  • Experience in network technology and infrastructure
  • Previous product management experience
