What is the role?
The Enterprise Product team is looking for a Product Strategist to own the Private Markets product strategy and narrative for Bloomberg’s Buy-Side platform offering.
As the Product Strategist for Private Markets, you will work closely with stakeholders of all levels across Product, Data, Engineering and Commercial teams to help inform product strategy, develop thought leadership, and ensure our approach to supporting private asset classes is consistent across the organization. Externally, you will represent Product in client discussions to better understand client expectations, identify workflow gaps and define opportunities. You will also be responsible for building Bloomberg’s brand image and promoting Private Markets technology leadership to the industry.
We’ll trust you to
- Develop a technical understanding of the Buy-Side product suite, with a specific focus on understanding our coverage and capabilities for private asset classes and how workflows are delivered today by each application.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to achieve alignment and be expected to play a hands-on role in product design, development, and delivery to ensure product success
- Build a client-facing Buy-Side Private Markets roadmap that you will maintain and influence on an ongoing basis.
- Exercise thought leadership, helping to enhance the organizational acumen around private asset classes and workflows, and simplify complex concepts into consumable narrative.
- Translate industry expectations and market concepts into investment workflow and technology best practices that can be captured as part of operating model design.
- Foster an environment of innovation and collaboration among internal stakeholders and clients.
You’ll need to have:
- 10+ years of experience with a Private Markets or adjacent focus*
- Proven understanding of capital markets and the investment lifecycle for private assets.
- Knowledge the institutional players and an understanding of the risk, analytics and portfolio management needs of a Private Markets investment team
- A track record of embracing data and technology and developing innovative and commercially viable solutions
- Demonstrated effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

Salary Range: 140,000 - 295,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
