What we look for?Bloomberg is seeking its newest member of the Global Project Services - SAP Solutions Project Management Office (PMO). Your primary responsibility will be to deliver large-scale, strategic programs including but not limited to existing and emerging products, back-office efficiencies, and compliance. Additionally, this person will perform in an advisory capacity to a subset of our 40+ project analysts with responsibilities including project delivery compliance, portfolio management, and continuous improvements to our project delivery framework. The role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate to work closely with senior management to develop enterprise solutions.

What is the Global Project Services - SAP Solutions department all about?We lead SAP technology and other supporting systems for enterprise processes such as accounting, procurement, supply chain and reporting which impact end-users and stakeholders from across the entire Bloomberg organization. The PMO supports in-house teams of engineers and project analysts, and all business stakeholders in project delivery and portfolio management. The PMO is also often called upon to support larger, non-SAP programs and portfolios across the enterprise where professional project management experience is deemed necessary.

We’ll trust you to:- Lead large-scale programs with enterprise-wide influence

  • Understand program risks and issues and develop mitigation plans
  • Influence and advise on adherence to the project management framework
  • Interact with and influence all levels of the organization
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring good judgment and flexibility
  • You’ll need to have:- Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of project management experience; 1-3 years of program management experience
  • Experience in full life-cycle project management for large-scale system implementations
  • Understanding of Order to Cash and Procure to Pay processes
  • Proven ability to influence and lead with and without authority
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong planning, organization and problem solving skills

We’d love to see:- Experience in full lifecycle project management large-scale ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft)

  • Leadership facilitation experience to drive senior-level decision making
  • Experience with a full lifecycle of user-based innovation (applying design thinking or UX principles)
  • Experience with global implementations
  • Experience with Agile Product Development (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
