Our Global Information Systems Group (Infosys) is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting Bloomberg’s internal IT systems, including our global corporate network, and the hardware and software to support nearly 19,000 employees in more than 170 offices around the world. We are also responsible for the audio-visual technology in all of Bloomberg’s public spaces (including training and conference rooms), that host more than 500,000 visitors to Bloomberg offices each year.

Our employees rely on the technology solutions and support Infosys provides to do their jobs in a dynamic, highly-demanding, technology-focused environment. We are a close-knit, hardworking team organized into 6 groups: Service Desk, Desktop Technicians, Infrastructure, Audio-Visual, Corporate Security, and Mobile Technology. Each of these groups develop, deploy and rely on a complex set of proprietary and third-party systems to deliver the services we provide; and those systems are the key to understanding where we are doing our jobs well, and where we need to improve.

For example, our 19,000 employees generate more than 320,000 service requests each year through a ticketing system that drives both human and automated services—from a software download to a Desktop dispatch. We handle approximately 400+ software titles, and monitor and implement security for a global corporate network that includes 28,000 PCs, 50,000 screen displays, and 120,000 network connections.

What's the role?

As an integral member of the our Information Systems Infrastructure Team, the Project Manager will have more than just an ability to identify requirements and manage projects-- you will make an impact by injecting your strategic thinking and commercial acumen, driving, implementing processes and initiatives in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment while inspiring others. You have strong project management skills and ability to run your time effectively, you consistently multi-task and work well in complexities in a team environment. You have an ability to approach challenges with creativity and enthusiasm; courage to take positions. As a Project Manager for Information Systems Infrastructure Team you’ll work hand in hand with our partners across the Bloomberg Enterprise – in teams spanning Engineering, the CTO Office and Operational groups - to ensure our operational, client service and partner functions are extraordinary and delivered in accordance with industry standards.

We'll trust you to:

• Develop project timelines and drive them to completion through agreement and support amongst different business, development, and operational teams.
• Lead high profile and strategic technological initiatives to tight deadlines
• Define and promote standard methodologies for project design and implementation
• Perform operational forecasting, capacity and resource planning
• Serve as the primary day-to-day project management point person, tracking and providing statuses for all ongoing Information System initiatives
• Use your superb project management knowledge and relationship building skills to build and maintain credible relationships with partners and clients

What do I need to apply?

• 5+ years of professional industry experience in Project Management / Program Management within Infrastructure
• Shown experience in engaging and influencing engineering teams
• Demonstrated history of solving complex problems with a keen eye for detail

We’d love to see:

• A PMP certification
• Additional qualifications in Agile, Scrum Master
