What's the Role?

Bloomberg has always been a leader in cloud based data acquisition and aggregation. You will help us extend this leading position to our distribution and API technologies. Bloomberg Enterprise Solutions has a unique opportunity for a global product manager focused on web/cloud technologies for real time data delivery. The product manager will be responsible for developing strategies and working with engineering teams to deliver technology solutions that provide innovative ways to deliver content in real time (both streaming and immediate request/response).

We'll Trust you to:

• Lead strategy development and product development focusing on Bloomberg’s delivery of real time services to web, mobile, and cloud-based solutions.
• Pioneer new ways to deliver real-time data to the next generation of front office and enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with Bloomberg Engineering, other Bloomberg Product Teams, and the Bloomberg CTO office to determine how Bloomberg can best leverage our existing cloud technologies, build new technology, and integrate with 3rd party technology to deliver our industry leading real time content.
• Develop relationships with buy side and sell side technology executives as well as cloud/web technology providers.
• Stay ahead of trends in web and mobile application development with a primary focus on fintech.
• Set direction and oversee execution from our engineering teams.
• Define marketing strategy for developed solutions.
• Work with sales and client services teams to best position and support developed solutions to the appropriate customers.

What do I need to apply?

• A minimum of 5 years in the Financial Information industry with a practical experience delivering applications for the front office or enterprise.
• Experience with developing, architecting, or designing web applications.
• Proficiency with API’s, service oriented architectures, web sockets, HTML 5, Java Script, OAuth, architecting for the web, migrating and designing solutions for the cloud. Previous coding experience in Java, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby, or Node JS a plus.
• Knowledge of market data distribution and delivery to front office applications (ems, one, risk, etc)
• Good understanding of the financial markets and different needs of buy and sell side when dealing with systems and services in support of the trade lifecycle.
• Passionate about the industry with a particular focus on technology and how to leverage it to deliver innovative solutions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable to work in a non-hierarchical, large global organization where interaction with other units senior management is required.
• Strong leadership skills with experience interacting with global teams.
• A commercial mindset with a strategic view on how to formulate a vision and drive product roadmap.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work with colleagues at all levels and across functions.
