Our Opportunity

Bloomberg PolarLake is looking to hire an experienced Senior Sales Executive. We are seeking candidates with an in-depth understanding of solution selling in an EDM/Market Data environment.

What we’ll trust you to do:

  • The successful candidates will have experience of both the solutions sales process and account management of clients who have implemented financial data management solutions across multiple business areas including reference and pricing data
  • The candidates will have very strong communication skills, demonstrating an understanding of business drivers such as risk management/regulation and their impact on any EDM solution. It will be necessary to apply these skills when communicating externally with clients and internally with a variety of Bloomberg PolarLake colleagues
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand and articulate the benefits of managed solutions
  • Proven experience and strong understanding of lengthy sales cycles for complex solutions
  • Business development, strategy, sales, support and growth of EDM in the area of coverage (NYC)
  • Ownership of revenue generation, pipeline management, strategic partnerships and identifying new opportunities
  • Building relationships with senior level contacts of current clients
  • Direct contribution to business planning process and collaboration with global teams
  • Candidates will be required to integrate into an existing strong team and be willing to travel

What we would like you to have:

  • 6+ years in Business Development/Sales within information technology and/or information services industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of enterprise solutions sales, strategic selling principles, client workflow, financial community landscape and data needs
  • Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, capable of handling multiple sales processes
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, logically tackle problems and set priorities
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential
  • Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task and work well under pressure in a team environment
