Trading Systems empowers the biggest players in the financial world to manage their portfolios, execute and settle their trades, and make decisions that move the markets. Trade flows worth trillions of dollars pass through our systems daily so our applications need to be fast, accurate and scalable. As engineers in TS, we are always looking for new ways to make our products better. To do this, we are building a new Continuous Integration and Delivery platform from the ground up to help us work better together and produce higher quality software. We are looking to expand the Continuous Delivery platform to all trading applications – which will be used by more than 500 engineers – and we want you to join us.

You are:

A DevOps engineer who is passionate about delivering high quality software. You enjoy taking on the hard problems and will spend the time to help us get things right the first time. You’re excited about the opportunity to work with the financial industry’s smartest engineers. You know Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Agile are the best ways to be more productive, break down barriers, automate the boring stuff, and let Engineers focus on Engineering.

We'll trust you to:

  • Build extensible platforms for Engineers to automate their workflows
  • Drive cultural changes in organizations by educating the development teams and product managers on the benefits of Automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery
  • Provide documentation, FAQs, and training to help encourage Engineers to take advantage of the best available tools and practices

You’ll need to have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Understanding the practice of Continuous Delivery
  • Experience with continuous integration servers such as Jenkins or Bamboo
  • Experience building and releasing applications written in C++
  • Experience using scripting languages such as Python or Groovy
  • Knowledge of source control management tools such as git
  • Experience using Unix and Linux

We'd like to see:

  • Experience automating day-to-day developer activities (i.e. the boring stuff)
  • Experience with modern Jenkins plugins such as JobDSL and/or Pipeline
  • Familiarity with automated software provisioning tool such as Chef, Ansible, and/or Puppet
  • Knowledge of containers and virtualization technology such as Docker, VMWare, VirtualBox, - Openstack, Kubernetes, Vagrant and/or Terraform
  • Experience building distributed systems
  • Knowledge of Lean Management Principles and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
  • Experience writing tests for your software
