The CIS (Connectivity & Integration Solutions) group is changing the way our clients connect and integrate with Bloomberg. We build solutions for secure, high-throughput and low-latency data transfer. We allow clients to manage their full integration with Bloomberg products through a single system.

We are revolutionizing the way Bloomberg clients monitor and configure their applications by leveraging big data solutions, advanced data visualization, and telemetry systems within to improve their computational and financial operations. We provide a highly scalable, zero downtime, fault tolerant web application built with Angular and Play framework. We also provide a scalable web platform which integrates various products as a unified application and offers development tools and libraries. Our web projects are growing rapidly. With ever-increasing demands for more capabilities in data visualization and analytics, we are building out an architecture using a combination of third-party and open-source technologies. We are the new foundation of building a whole new ecosystem of web solutions.

We'll trust you to:

• Work directly with product owners to build products using an Agile SDLC

• Take ownership of technical solutions, from development and delivery to production

• Develop in all levels of a web application stack

You'll need to have:

• 3+ years of experience designing and building successful web applications

• Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, ES6, SCSS/CSS, JSON, Angular framework and Angular design patterns

• Deep understanding of browser performance and cross-browser compatibility

• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Scala, or Java

• Experience with Responsive Web and RESTful API designs

• Strong technical problem-solving skills and understanding of data structures and algorithms

• A self-starter approach with a strong sense of ownership

We'd love to see:

• Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, using JIRA

• Experience with various JavaScript frameworks like Node, React, Vue, Ember

• Familiarity with open source technologies like Play Framework, Chef

• Experience with HTTP/2, Web Sockets, or SSE

• Experience with automated testing tools such as Protractor, Jest, and Selenium
