Our team is looking for engineers to work on our flagship IMGR product. IMGR is a UI application and platform used by various players (PM, Trader, Salesperson, Compliance etc.) for market transparency, price discovery and trade execution. Our infrastructure receives tens of billions of quotes daily in real-time from various sources. It then enriches these quotes with information from other proprietary Bloomberg databases and services. IMGR is used to search and screen for securities to spot potential trade opportunities. It is fully integrated with client pricing engines, trading platforms and client communication tools.

You’ll need to have:

• Graduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics desired.
• Strong Understanding of Hadoop Eco-system (HDFS, MapReduce, HBase, Zookeeper, Oozie), and Big Data streaming and batch compuations
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Java, scala, scripting languages e.g. Python, bash.
• 3+ years of experience in HDFS, HBase, Apache Spark and Streaming
• Deep understanding and working knowledge of NoSQL DBs (HBase, Phonenix, Cassandra)
• Working knowledge of open source messaging systems i.e Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be diligent and detail oriented, self motivated, eager to learn and passionate about improving the product.

We’d love see:

• Good Knowledge of open source monitoring tools such as Grafana
• Good understanding of CM tools such as Chef or Ansible
• Good understanding of Cloud Computing Platforms such as OpenStack, and Virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMware
• Financial knowledge of Capital Markets is a plus.
