What's the role?

We’re seeking a highly motivated Senior Lead Inventory Partner to join Bloomberg’s Global Media Revenue Operations team. Reporting to the Global Head of Pricing & Inventory, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall strategy, analysis, and management of Bloomberg Media’s advertising inventory, to ensure we are accurately enhancing yield across our cross-platform advertising assets. This will be achieved through useful intelligence, meticulous data management, and insightful data visualizations in order to influence our inventory strategy across multiple products and media platforms.

We'll trust you to:

  • Supervise and conduct ongoing analyses around trends in ad density, revenue, and monetization
  • Distribute regular reporting that provides a well-rounded view of inventory, and sell-through metrics
  • Advance inventory forecast models and product level sell-through to help increase yield and offer suggestions for inventory packaging
  • Work closely with the Commercial, Ad Product and Revenue Operations teams to identify inventory trends and develop quantitative analysis, ad hoc reports and models that will advise product, sales, marketing, planning and pricing decisions
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions that help to provide efficiency, including the development of tools, processes, systems and reports
  • Present senior leadership with recommendations for short term and longer-term opportunities
  • Create and maintain processes and best practices documentation
  • Maintain strong understanding of ad platforms, data sources, and Digital Operations workflow, relying on these various inputs to develop data-driven recommendations for improving yield or operational efficiencies
  • Work with the Data & Systems teams to investigate systems issues, errors and bugs until they are resolved
  • Be able to communicate & present complex data in a simple and palatable manner
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external partners across the organization

You'll need to have:

  • 10+ years experience in advertising, marketing, analytics, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
  • Experience in new product pricing and creation including forecasting analysis to resolve product viability, possible revenue and recommendations on ad product priorities
  • Solid understanding of digital systems including, or similar to: Google Ad Manager, Operative.One, Yield Analytics (formerly Yieldex), Adobe Analytics, Moat, Tableau, SalesForce, Data Warehouse
  • Proficiency in Digital and traditional media platforms such as TV, Radio, & Print
  • Ability to inspire and influence change in a dynamic environment
  • The ability to see the “future state” of the inventory management, while continuing to keep an eye on the day to day needs

We'd love to see:

  • Deep knowledge of the media business
  • Experience with pricing market trends and market knowledge

Salary Range: 150,000 - 210,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
