We are looking for a passionate engineer who is excited about mobile development and driving tech innovation in the fast-paced media industry. Our Mobile app is used by thousands of consumers around the world on both iOS and Android devices. As a team we are constantly thinking of how to keep up with the latest industry trends, improve our subscription offering, and squeeze as much performance as possible from mobile devices. 
Our mobile application is developed in React Native so that we can code once and deliver to both multiple platforms. We rely heavily on JavaScript and React techniques to develop engaging features quickly. On the backend, our APIs are written in Java and NodeJS, and delivered to AWS and public cloud.

• Build, test, and iterate on new methods of storytelling
• Write clear and maintainable code
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship
• Collaborate within an agile, multi-disciplinary, fast-moving team
• Be passionate about app performance (speed, memory, battery usage) and user satisfaction 

You'll need to have:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• 2+ years of professional experience building mobile applications (React Native)
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technology field/Equivalent Experience

We'd love to see:

• Familiarity with developing mobile applications using IOS or Android
• Exposure to Java or Node.js and building backend services using REST
• A deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Understanding of Spring Boot Framework
• Skill in using AWS

Salary Range: 160,000 - 240,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
