About the Role:

Bloomberg is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to join our New York City Payroll team. You’ll be responsible for performing a wide variety of payroll activities that are critical to ensuring an accurate and timely payroll. You’ll be accountable for computing wage payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, and ensuring compliance across our payroll process including tax withholding and filing obligations.

You’re an experienced Payroll professional who’s highly organized, responsive and flexible. You’ve got the motivation and drive to handle multiple projects while producing accurate and timely results, and are excited to bring innovation, energy and ideas to our Payroll team. You’re proactive about seeing and spotting issues, and then taking the initiative to get to the root cause of a problem and solving it. You love controls and process - you care deeply about data quality issues. You’re looking to work closely with regional and global leadership team to ensure that our Payroll workflows and technology remain best-in-class.

We’ll Trust You To:

  • Be responsible for the payroll preparation and production of our semi-monthly payrolls
  • Ensure compliance with tax withholding and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Assist in the coordination of year-end processing
  • Partner with our vendor (ADP) to process tax payments along with quarterly & annual reporting
  • Collaborate with HRIS, Finance, Benefits and HR Shared Services teams
  • Review and audit of data processed by other team members
  • Respond to employee and inter-departmental inquiries
  • Develop and continuously improve efficient operating procedures

You’ll Need To Have:

  • A minimum of seven years relative payroll experience, CPP preferred
  • Experience using PeopleSoft HCM, including PS Query
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll practices, auditing and procedures
  • Understanding of multi-state taxation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to research and resolve complex inquiries, seek solutions and follow through on complex tasks
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Maintain and build a high level of customer service with Bloomberg employees
  • Ability to work closely within a global team
