The Deployment Orchestration team manages the system that all 6000 engineers at Bloomberg use to deploy their code to production. Our deployment system manages tens of thousands of updates per day deploying new application code, updating database schemes, enabling feature flags, and much more.

Our mission is to help our fellow Bloomberg Engineers ship changes to production easily, safely, clearly, and quickly. Our approach is a plug and play platform for production changes. Users can request different types of changes from our platform and other infrastructure teams use our standardized interfaces to process those changes. Our team then builds other features like CI and post deployment checks into this system. Some of our current projects are improving our deployment planning tool to handle multiple types of assets, covering more workflows in our continuous deployment system, and integrating with more post deployment testing systems.

You might be a good fit for this role if you are passionate about designing and building scalable systems, creating tools with a focus on user experience,and enabling best practices - both within your team and the larger organization. 

You Will Need to Have:

• Experience with developing and managing distributed systems and designing APIs
• Experience writing high-quality tests

= Strong communication and collaboration skills and a curiosity in learning about the challenges faced by development teams who depend on us
= Ability to learn new skills and technologies and adapt quickly

We'd love to see:

• Experience developing with C++ and/or Python
• A strong understanding of the your current development and production environments
• Desire to learn new technologies and apply them where appropriate to improve the quality of our software and processes
• Experience in an agile or iterative software development process
• Contributions to Open Source projects
• Experience in partnering with other development teams
• BA, BS, MS, PHD in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field

Salary Range: 160,000 - 240,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
