Our Team:
The NEO Communications and Reporting Systems team provides robust full-stack systems, tools and data analysis solutions to the NEO (Network Engineering and Operations) department, which is responsible for Bloomberg's global network infrastructure and connectivities. We own a diverse portfolio of product suites in the format of web applications, data pipelines and terminal functions that enable our users to streamline their day-to-day work and make well-informed decisions when managing our large scale network.
What’s in it for you:
As a member of the team of full stack software engineers, you will be collaborating with engineers and business stakeholders to use various open source and proprietary technologies to build informative, intuitive and creative UI/UX experiences, as well as complicated data pipelines. On our team, you will have the opportunity to work on everything from programming, scripting, business planning & reporting, and delivering creative solutions to ad-hoc problems presented by the business.
You will need to have:
- 4+ years working with an object-oriented programming language (C/C++, Python, Java, etc.)
- A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience
- Non-internship professional development experience in software design and implementation (Python and C++)
- Hands-on experience in web development technologies, stacks and libraries (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS)
- Hands-on experience with modern web development framework and architectures in React, RESTful web services and API integration
- Hands-on experience with relational database (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and SQL language
- A willingness to learn new technologies and try new domains
We would love to see some of the following:
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience building monitoring, alerting, dashboards, metrics reporting and data analysis
- Experience with build tools and CI/CD pipelines

Salary Range: 160,000 - 240,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
