Our team:

The Trading Analytics team is building out the foundation for analytics across all of Bloomberg’s trading platforms. Our products allow traders to view analytics at multiple touch points, including easy-to-read customizable tiles, trade blotters and standalone applications. Our goal is to expand this functionality to trading workflows of all asset classes by building reliable and easily extensible software that can support a broad range of evolving use cases.

We own the full software stack from processing the normalized data with minimum latency (C++) to presenting it on the screen in customizable views enriched with analytics (JavaScript). Our analytics engines written in C++ process millions of ticks a day, and our latest UI framework is accessed more than 20k times a day by traders after its first year of release. Right now, we are building the infrastructure to enable custom analytics and alerts for all of Bloomberg’s trading platforms.

You’ll need to have:

• 3+ years of experience programming in C/C++
• Experience with multithreading
• Experience with high volume, high availability distributed systems
• Willingness to work on all aspects of the software stack

We’d love to see:

• An interest in the financial markets
• Experience using distributed middleware such as MQs, Kafka, and open source utilities such as Redis.
• Experience working on data-intensive user interfaces.
