Bloomberg’s Experienced Tech Recruitment team is building out our well-established Engineering organization of 4,500 engineers. We operate in a high pressure, fast-paced environment and we understand the importance of hiring quality engineers. Bloomberg’s technology ranges from internal messaging to financial applications that handle trillions of dollars, and we take pride in growing the teams who build it.

Who are you?

As a recruiter on our team, you are someone who will take ownership of recruiting top talent for the organization. You will be tasked with closing some of the top candidates in the tech industry, but you’re a team player whose priority is to find the right fit for your candidates at Bloomberg. You’re open to new challenges and you respect, encourage, and accept new ideas. You understand the importance of moving quickly, and you thrive in an environment that demands it. You’re a strategic thinker who can execute on assignments and make decisions independently. Most importantly, you’re passionate about building out industry leading technical teams.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Organize, plan, and manage recruiting resources to deliver consistent and timely results
  • Interface between candidates, agencies, and demanding clients to negotiate packages and close candidates
  • Measure and maintain recruitment service level of internal and external clients
  • Identify and participate in networking activities such as industry conferences, meetups, and open house events to build relationships and recruit top talent
  • Manage the full lifecycle recruitment process for mid to senior level hires and partner with senior managers across Bloomberg
  • Develop proactive recruitment strategies for future business needs, internal mobility and succession planning for the team

You need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in tech recruiting (software engineers, Dev Ops, infrastructure)
  • An in-depth knowledge of the contingent and executive search processes
  • The ability to influence and build strong business partnerships
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven culture
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems
