New York, NY
Posted Nov 1, 2022 - Requisition No. 111096
At our core, Bloomberg is an information and technology company, but there is no algorithm in our approach to design. Rather, everything Bloomberg does stems from a desire to meet users’ needs by constantly pushing the boundaries of business, technology, and design.
Bloomberg's visual brand breaks ranks with traditional financial services companies; by being smart, bold, dynamic, and unapologetic; and by turning complex user workflows into clear and engaging experience.
Bloomberg's User Experience group is expanding and looking for an innovative UI designer to work on Bloomberg’s web and mobile applications! We are looking for a hands-on team player with expertise in visual design, design systems, and strategic skills to assess business needs and user scenarios. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will enhance web UI framework and assist various enterprise web product design, or design applications across iOS/iPad OS/Android platforms.
You’ll need to have:
- A link to your online portfolio in your resume. Your application will not be considered without a portfolio.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in designing and prototyping native apps for phones and tablets with expertise in platform standards for iOS and Android, and/or complex web enterprise applications.
- B.S./M.S./B.F.A. in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, or related field.
- Demonstrated intuitive and engaging UI design with simple clean style and a pixel-level attention to detail via a portfolio.
- Demonstrated fluency with Figma, Sketch and Adobe Creative suite.
