Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach through new innovations from Bloomberg Quicktake to Bloomberg Green.
The Social Analytics Lead will be a part of our Global Audience Development team, specifically responsible for driving the development and ongoing maintenance of campaign benchmarks and reporting templates/dashboards. This role will require significant time spent with data: analyzing what’s working, what’s not and how we can optimize paid social campaigns; data-gathering and storytelling around performance in weekly, mid- and/or end-of-campaign reporting; and ensuring a complete feedback loop with pre-sale colleagues.
We are looking for an analyst who is an expert across core and emerging social platforms, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the media landscape, loves digging into data to come up with performance insights and ideas, and has experience with both website and social analytics.


  •  Lead development and maintenance of our reporting templates/dashboards and related workstreams for paid social and website analytics
  •  Own reporting and insights development across priority campaigns, contributing to recommendations for future programs
  •  Collaborate with Social Campaign Specialists on campaign performance oversight, optimizations and reporting
  •  Present complex analytical reports to clients in a compelling and digestible manner
  •  Refine existing social performance benchmarks and develop new analyses of performance across platforms
  •  Stay current on evolving and emerging social media platforms, distribution tactics and first-to-market opportunities


  •  5+ years of analytics experience, focusing on extensive use of cross-platform tools like Google Analytics & MOAT, combined with relevant social-specific platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Vimeo, YouTube, etc.)
  •  Experience creating cross-platform dashboards that incorporate data from native social platforms, listening tools and/or client data pools
  •  Experience weaving together site metrics with social metrics to capture holistic content journeys
  •  Deep understanding of the paid media, custom content and audience acquisition landscape
  •  Strong data storytelling skills; ability to translate performance data into actionable insights
  •  Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  •  Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once, with strong attention to detail
  •  Self-starter who is comfortable with a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  •  Positive, adaptable, can-do attitude, with a desire to learn and grow
