Our Network Operations Programming and Reporting team consists of highly trained data experts specializing in building business intelligence applications and tools.

Managers and business leaders across the enterprise depend on these tools to make intelligent decisions, and manage the day to day operations of the Bloomberg network.
We work within the Network Operations department which is directly responsible for the performance and maintenance of Bloomberg's global private network, one of the largest private networks in the world.

We'll trust you to:

• Use DevOps principles to script and automate workflows following industry standard methodologies
• Plan, design, implement and handle the life cycle of the full stack applications
• Take ownership, work independently on problems and handle critical issues related to the software infrastructure

You'll need to have:

• Minimum of 2 years as a DevOps Engineer at a startup, mid-to large-size company is required.
• Advanced DevOps and automation skills
• Prior Experience in building/maintaining web development environment in Linux
• Proficiency in provisioning and building software infrastructure
• In-depth automation experience using configuration management tools Chef & Ansible
• Experience with a CI system (Jenkins) and monitoring tools
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Knowledge and experience of Python programming and Databases
• An aptitude for keeping up to date with the newest technologies.
• A good understanding of SRE disciplines
• Ability to perform under pressure and deadline
