Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is setting out to become the indispensable source of information for the world's most influential business leaders.

As transmissions coordinator, you will be responsible for building and ensuring the integrity of video transmission paths over IP, fiber and satellite, in a live television environment. You will thrive in a fast-paced team-first environment, working closely with vendors, assignment desk editors, field production personnel, master control and engineers.

We’ll trust you to:

• Manage multiple responsibilities including: bandwidth acquisition, operations resource management, routing/switching, utilization of network control applications, QC and troubleshooting transmission-related issues
• Schedule, ingest and tag all incoming feeds to server for live or taped programming
• Hire and schedule US domestic crews, studio facilities, sat trucks and equipment

You’ll need to have:

• 2+ years recent/relevant experience in a live TV news environment
• Ability to work well in a team setting under tight deadlines
• Flexibility with hours, i.e., shifts, nights, and weekends
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of relevant technologies, equipment and services

We’d love to see:

• Experience with Master Control, field producing and transmission a plus
