Our Team:

The Bloomberg Marketing Studio is Bloomberg's in-house content, creative and digital marketing group. Working on assignments for print, digital, environmental, interactive and broadcast projects, the Studio has writing, design, production and content and engineering capabilities. We drive projects across the full spectrum of Bloomberg, both internally and externally. We work across a global workflow, with staff in major Bloomberg offices.

In this role you will:

  • Create, iterate, present, and deliver exceptional design solutions
  • Facilitate client workshops (conceptualization, prioritization, etc.) to advance the UX design on a project
  • Verbally articulate visual concepts and participate in collaborative design sessions
  • Create hand sketches of user flows, site maps, screen layouts
  • Think through complex problems to devise workable design solutions
  • Document user flows and site architecture
  • Create wireframes
  • Demonstrate interactions via prototypes or animation
  • Present one's own work to internal teams
  • Document all details of product interactivity
  • Define research methodologies and execution
  • Participate in user research and findings reporting
  • Support business development by contributing UX perspectives and concept development as needed
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to devise design solutions that are accessible, innovative, beautiful, functional, and feasible
  • Provide on-demand and digest status updates to direct management
  • Field constructive feedback without ego in the best interest of the work
  • Do all of the above with a positive attitude and an open mind

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5-7 years of UX Design experience, ideally with some experience launching products (not just agency experience)
  • A portfolio of design work demonstrating experience in at least 2 areas of UX design (Ex: ethnographic research, design strategy, interaction design, usability testing)
  • Examples of creative problem solving applied to complex problems
  • Highly organized thinking
  • Solid written and oral communication skills demonstrated through a comfort presenting work and actively gathering feedback
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch
  • Proficiency in Balsamiq, OmniGraffle, or Visio
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Proficiency in html, CSS, and Chrome DevTools
  • Strong experience designing for Wordpress websites and an understanding of the Wordpress content paradigm
  • Prototyping via software tools (Axure, Balsamiq, Framer, Figma) or code is a plus
  • Experience designing motion in After Effects preferred
  • Experience designing creative data visualization preferred
  • Experience working in a scrum agile environment a plus
  • Experience with Jira a plus
  • Experience with Workfront a plus
