Here in the Bloomberg Digital Video team we create smart, high-quality, original video content on the topics of business, luxury, technology, and more. We're a team of extremely creative, ambitious, driven filmmakers, producing everything from short animated explainers to full-length documentary TV series.

What's the role?

We are looking for a professional with 3-5 years of experience in online media to grow our video audience on social platforms and beyond. You will work closely with talented, creative individuals across many teams, including digital video, social media, and the award-winning newsroom to design and lead a new, improved strategy for off-site video distribution that anticipates and responds to the ever-changing and growing web video landscape.

Job duties:

  • Work with the video and social teams to develop an intelligent system for curation and distribution of Bloomberg video content
  • Write video headlines and descriptions that will attract viewers on YouTube and Facebook
  • Work with designers and producers to create a visual style for thumbnails, end cards, promotional GIFs, and any other video packaging materials
  • Develop a tracking database for all original video content
  • Collect and deliver weekly analytics reports from YouTube and Facebook
  • Strategize for growth on new and emerging platforms

We'd love to see:

  • A deep understanding of the web video landscape
  • A high level of organization and attention to detail
  • Strong design sensibility
  • Photoshop capabilities
  • Familiarity with video editing software is a big plus
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet applications like Excel and Google Sheets
  • An understanding of the business journalism audience and the business news cycle
