THE ROLE:

Bloomberg is seeking a valuation specialist in New York to calculate the net worth of the world's richest people. You'll collaborate with our global wealth team and be responsible for building and maintaining files on billionaires that are the backbone of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a proprietary ranking that's updated daily.
 
While the valuation specialist will be part of a Bloomberg News team of reporters and editors, they will not be expected to write articles. Their primary task will be working with a group of valuation specialists worldwide to keep hundreds of billionaire models up-to-date, assisting the rest of the group on enterprise stories when requested.

This is a contract position for 12 months.

WE'LL TRUST YOU TO:

•  Design and maintain valuation models for billionaires
•  Work closely with a global team of reporters and valuation specialists to monitor news and securities filings to keep the Bloomberg Billionaires Index current
•  Justify valuation estimates with colleagues, clients and billionaires' representatives
•  Move with both speed and accuracy through billionaire files

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:

•  Excel skills, including the ability to calculate inputs for financial models and work with large data sets
•  An understanding of valuation methodology
•  An ability to communicate clearly across teams, groups and regions
•  Strong technical abilities with experience learning and navigating complex systems
