Are you a Windows programmer who wants to build tools and services for infrastructure automation? On the Windows Hosting and Security team, we are responsible for the design and implementation of the application hosting infrastructure that Bloomberg relies on. This platform is built using a custom broker and integrating virtualization technologies from vendors like VMware, Citrix and Microsoft. The Bloomberg Terminal is one such application being hosted using this platform. This means our customers can use the Terminal from any internet connected device.

As a member of our team, you will design and implement Bloomberg's remote access solution. You will write software to authenticate remote connections, provide systems management, and automate the provisioning / deployment of applications. You'll have a great opportunity to work with a wide range of virtualization and remoting technologies, while focusing on creating custom software components and tools around these technologies. You will work with systems/network designers, architects and network security and integration specialists in an open environment that is exciting, vibrant and bold. We'll trust you to:

• Develop backend APIs and frontend UIs for our web tools
• Learn, test, implement and recommend new and innovative ways to solve problems

You need to have:

• 3-5 years of strong Windows programming skills using C#, ASP.NET, Web services, JavaScript and HTML
• A solid understanding of the Windows, Win32 API and its interoperability with managed code
• Knowledge of database technologies such as MS SQL
• A strong desire to learn and to stretch competencies
• The ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment

We'd love to see:

• Experience with Windows systems infrastructure such as Active Directory, IIS, DNS and Credential Provider
• A basic understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, Microsoft HyperV)
